Our commitment to our customers:

We consider Flath & Associates a great resource which we will utilize whenever possible.  We recently had an issue that needed immediate attention as well as training.  I called Rick and spoke to him that afternoon, I cannot tell you how much that says about a company that treats you like you are the only customer they have.  The attention, follow through, and great information that we recieved is just great customer service.  My thanks to Rick and Lynnea.

A non-profit in need of a total human resource solution:

Flath and Associates have been a tremendous resource to our non-profit foundation over the past few years.  As we have continued to transition from a private operating foundation to a publicly supported one, the technical support and human resources expertise from Rick Flath and his colleagues have been an organizational live saver.  This includes a wide variety of services including employee benefits, compensation analyses, business and professional liability insurance, investment advice, and general personnel issues like an employee handbook.  I recommend their services to any organization that is looking for outstanding service from human resource professionals.

Providing Human Resource support to the 1200 member companies of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut:

In August, 2004 our Chamber expanded its’ member support to include human resource and employee benefit plan (insurance) services. Rather than add to our professional staff to address this service, we outsourced this HR support responsibility to Flath & Associates.  This has proven to be a very successful process, and we look forward to the continued growth of our relationship.

Revamping staff salary program at a private college:

Flath & Associates has worked with Connecticut College for several years.  They have been instrumental in our establishing a credible, viable compensation structure for our staff employees.  They have handled salary surveys for us, most recently an update this year.  The recommendations made by them have greatly helped the college in establishing our salary grades, and in placing all staff positions appropriately.  Rick Flath and John Younger are both very knowledgeable and able to present complicated compensation and benefits issues and procedures to all levels of the organization.  We look forward to an ongoing relationship with them.

Planning and executing a successful merger of two organizations into a 180 person non-profit agency:

Flath & Associates was instrumental in assisting Sound Community Service, Inc in negotiating and executing the merger that resulted in the formation of our agency .  During the merger process  they assisted in our interorganization assessment and regularly advised on the myriad of issues associated with the joining of two social service non-profit agencies. Perhaps the most valuable service they provided was helping to lead the culture change that the merger required.

University needing a fresh look at their human resource programs:

Rick and his team have supported the University of New Haven in a number of HR areas from the negotiation of health care contracts and the design of benefit plans to the development of retirement plans. In every area they brought a very high level of knowledge, experience and creativity. We could not have achieved the level of success we did achieve without them.

Continuing and refining a compensation and benefits survey for a large non-profit membership organization:

CANPFA, which represents over 130 long-term care providers, is very pleased to be working with Flath & Associates on a compensation and benefits survey of our membership.  Three years ago, Flath and Associates stepped in at short notice to take over our survey process, and we have continued to collaborate, refining and improving the survey instrument and analysis through several new iterations.  Flath & Associates have been an excellent resource for our association.
