Essentially, it is “anything done to better an organization” to meet business and organization goals. Specifically, we collaborate with organization leaders and their groups to create system-wide change through assessment, analysis and applying agreed upon methodologies for the purpose of improving productivity and employee satisfaction.
Our creative process is to engage a cross-section of the organization and, if desired, offer a 360-degree assessment and feedback process. By conducting this process we are better able to ascertain the organization's current problems and future challenges and apply multiple approaches to attain more elegant solutions that meet both individual and the organizations goals. We acknowledge that organizations are part of a larger social, legal and labor market community that is constantly changing. These realities force leadership to structure and populate the organization with the right people and competencies to meet continuing competitive challenges.
Our focus is on shared values, clear strategic direction, effective use of all human resource structures such as: compensation design; benefits design; creative uses of an organization's financial structures; training programs; performance based systems; human resource policies and practices; communication paths that all seamlessly integrate the needs of both the individual and the organization.
We do this through: individual coaching of leaders and executive groups; leading board and staff alignment sessions; engendering an effective meeting and decision-making process; recommend policy and procedure changes; create a forum for skill practice and dialogue and harness the inevitable stress that arises from differences of perspectives.
Our guiding philosophy is that we are aware that there is a tension of opposites operating 100% of the time. We help the organization distinguish between problems to be solved and ‘polarities to manage’, which if acknowledged and appreciated, allow for a more complete decision-making process, which helps the long-term sustainability of the organization.
We use the organization’s own collective wisdom and its cultural history to determine the best intervention. And we actually make it fun while in the process of change and growth.
